WATCH: Liza Soberano makes Hollywood debut in 'Lisa Frankenstein' official teaser trailer
The official teaser trailer of Lisa Frankenstein is now out!
Film production company Focus Features has released the trailer and it shows (un)typical teenage life—featuring a lot of axe-swinging, grave digging, and a budding romance with an undead boy.
The almost two-minute clip showed a hilarious, yet eerie romantic adventure of an outcast named Lisa (portrayed by Kathryn Newton) who got attracted to a corpse played by Cole Sprouse. Driven by her affection, she successfully brought him back to life via a tanning machine.
“Taffy says it’s a waste of time to try and fix a boy, it’s better to just accept a guy’s flaws," Lisa casually shared with her undead suitor while hanging out in her bedroom.
It also unveiled the first look of Taffy, Liza Soberano’s debut role in Hollywood, who plays a reliable friend to Lisa.
Lisa Frankenstein will embark on a murderous adventure of finding love, happiness, and “a few missing body parts along the way.” Also included in the cast are Jenna Davis from the film M3GAN, Henry Eikenberry, Joe Chrest, and Carla Gugino.
The film is also the directorial debut of Zelda WIlliams, daughter of the late Robin WIlliams. It was written by Diablo Cody, who also wrote the dark comedy film Jennifer’s Body.
Lisa Frankenstein is coming to cinemas on February 9, 2024. Watch the official teaser trailer below:
