Netflix drops official trailer and poster for live-action ‘Cowboy Bebop’
Netflix has dropped the first official trailer for its live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop.
The trailer released Wednesday (Oct. 27) offers an exciting look at John Cho’s Spike Spiegel, Daniella Pineda’s Faye Valentine, and Mustafa Shakir’s Jet Black and Ein the Space Corgi in action.
The trailer comes a week after "The Lost Session," a stand-alone mini-episode teaser was released online.
Along with the stylish new trailer, the official poster of the series was also released, teasing a Nov. 19 release date.
Cowboy Bebop is a space Western about three bounty hunters, aka “cowboys,” all trying to outrun the past that was originally broadcast in 1998, as a Japanese science fiction neo-noir anime.

As reported by GeekTyrant, original anime series director Shinichirō Watanabe served as a consultant on the series, while original composer Yoko Kanno returns for the live-action adaptation.
The live-action series also stars Alex Hassell as Vicious, Elena Satine as Julia, Geoff Stults (Little Fires Everywhere, 12 Strong), Tamara Tunie (Black Earth Rising, Dietland), Mason Alexander Park (Hedwig and the Angry Inch National Broadway Tour), Rachel House (Thor Ragnarok, Soul), Ann Truong (Strikeback!, Hard Target 2), and Hoa Xuande (Ronny Chieng: International Student, Top of the Lake).

The series is executive produced by André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, and Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios, Makoto Asanuma, Shin Sasaki and Masayuki Ozaki of Sunrise Inc., Tim Coddington, Tetsu Fujimura, Michael Katleman, Matthew Weinberg, and Christopher Yost. Nemec serves as showrunner.
Yost, who also serves as writer and executive producer on the show, previously worked on Thor: Ragnarok, Thor: The Dark World, Star Wars Rebels, Hulk Vs, X-Men: Evolution, and The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, among others.

Cowboy Bebop is set to premiere on Nov. 19, 2021. The original anime series was released earlier this month and is currently streaming on Netflix.
