YouTube star MrBeast said he’s filming with Prime Video “the largest game show in history,” which would have a cash prize worth $5 million (P278.6 million).

“Big news, gamers! I’m going to be filming the largest game show in history and releasing it on Prime Video!” said MrBeast, a.k.a. Jimmy Donaldson, on X.

The 25-year-old added that it will have over a thousand participants. Aside from the cash prize, he teased that it's also set to break "many other world records."

“I’ll reveal more later this year but let’s just say, it’s gonna be an insane show,” he continued.

The Verge reported that the game show would be called Beast Games. There are no other details yet about it, including what kind of challenges the contestants would go through.

MrBeast has been active on YouTube since 2012, but became popular in 2018 for donating thousands of dollars to fellow YouTubers and streamers from Twitch, a video game streaming platform.

He has since made videos revolving around expensive stunts.

In November 2021, MrBeast hosted his own version of the hit Netflix series Squid Game.

He and his team built replicas of the show’s sets and reportedly spent $2 million (P102.6 million) for production and $1.5 million more (P77 million) for prizes. The winner took home the $456,000 (P23.4 million) grand prize.

MrBeast has also announced cash giveaways in the past. During his birthday last May, he gave $50,000 (P2.78 million) to five lucky Instagrammers, each receiving $10,000 (P558,000).

In 2021, the content creator became the highest-paid YouTuber with earnings worth $54 million (P2.8 billion)—the most for any YouTuber ever—according to Forbes.
