Empoy Marquez, Alessandra De Rossi to star in new romantic drama 'Walang KaParis'

The breakout love team of Alessandra De Rossi and Empoy Marquez, or "Alempoy," will star in a new romantic drama on Amazon Prime Video.

De Rossi and Marquez, whose tandem rose to fame through the 2017 movie Kita Kita, will star in Walang KaParis.

Walang KaParis revolves around Jojo (Marquez), a Filipino visual artist in Paris who has had many lovers but constantly finds himself desperately searching for "the one." For years, a mysterious woman with no name and history serves as the subject of his paintings.

One day, a woman named Marie (De Rossi) walks up to him and claims to be the subject of his paintings.

Kita Kita director Sigrid Andrea Bernardo will return to direct, while singer KZ Tandingan who lent her voice to the 2017 Alempoy film will also record the Walang KaParis original soundtrack.

Walang KaParis will premiere on Prime Video starting March 23 in 240 countries and territories worldwide. Kita Kita will also be available for streaming.

Previously, Amazon debuted its first original Filipino movie, Ten Little Mistresses. Its other Pinoy offerings are series Drag Den with Manila Luzon and miniseries One Good Day.

Amazon is home to hits like The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Island, Jinny’s Kitchen, Chainsaw Man, Fleabag, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Boys, and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.
