In 2019, Jamil first confirmed over a comment on her Instagram video, and later on in another post for receiving the Ehlers-Danlos Society Patient Advocate Award, that she has been diagnosed with EDS, a group of conditions affecting the connective tissue.
She-Hulk is a legal comedy series that follows Jennifer Walters aka the titular hero She-Hulk, a lawyer who gained extreme power from her cousin Bruce Banner (Hulk) after an emergency blood transfusion.
Although Jamil did not include in her announcement who will be the character she will be portraying, many believed she may play the rival of She-Hulk, Titania.
Jamil will join Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) who is set to play the lead role of Jennifer Walters. Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as The Hulk and Tim Roth will also be returning as Abomination.
Directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia with Jessica Gao as head writer, the She-Hulk series will premiere on Disney Plus in 2022.
