5 cozy coffee shops to stay at where you can get some work and studying done

Published Jun 10, 2022 9:19 pm

Before the pandemic, coffee shops were the go-to place for students and professionals looking to get some work done. And after two years of studying and working from home, cafes are open again to house busy bodies.

But for a coffee shop to be a productivity-conducive environment, it must tick off some essentials—is there WiFi, or are there sockets for charging your devices? Can you stay for long hours and what's the ambiance like?

To help you with your remote work and study needs, PhilSTAR L!fe has come up with a list of cozy coffee shops that will get your brain juices a-flowin'.

Commune

In the vibrant Poblacion is Commune, a mellow, community café where minds can freely think. The star of this space, of course, is its coffee sourced from local farmers in Benguet, Sagada, South Cotabato, Kapatagan, and Bukidnon.

Commune also features floor-to-ceiling windows, giving you a great view of the busy streets as well as a balcony for those who want some fresh air. Oh, and did we mention they have resident cats?

Habitual Coffee

This hole-in-the-wall coffee shop in Salcedo Village dons a minimalist interior and an open coffee bar with brewing tools and coffee bean bags on display. Their simple menu features brunch plates, and the shop has sockets and WiFi perfect for those looking to get work finished.

Habitual Coffee also has a branch in Ayala Vertis North.

Bad Cafe

Another hole-in-the-wall coffee shop, Bad Cafe pairs its stylish interior with a cozy ambiance. This Japanese-inspired coffee shop also serves cocktails aside from coffee and brunch plates.
