PSA: Fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to get COVID-19 tests to travel to Singapore
Good news for fully vaccinated travelers! Singapore will no longer require tourists to take any COVID-19 tests when visiting the country.
Singapore eased travel restrictions on April 1, allowing fully vaccinated adults and unvaccinated children to enter the country without undergoing quarantine, so long as they took pre-departure tests.
With the latest update from the country's tourism board, travelers no longer need to present their COVID-19 test results to enter the country starting April 26, making visits seamless.
Those who wish to travel to Singapore only need the following requirements
- Proof of vaccination (VaxCertPH)
- Tickets for any flight to Singapore
- A registered profile through TraceTogether app
- SG Arrival Card and e-health declaration (submitted three days before departure; can be obtained from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website)
Non-vaccinated short-term visitors are generally not allowed entry into Singapore.
According to the Singapore Tourism Board, wearing face masks is now optional when outdoors but it is still mandatory indoors except when eating or drinking. Social gatherings are allowed in groups of up to 10 persons.
A popular destination in the Asia-Pacific, Singapore allows Filipino nationals to visit the country without a visa and stay for up to 30 days. Those traveling for employment and academic purposes need to apply for a visa at an embassy or consulate of Singapore.
SG Arrival cards are still required before traveling to Singapore. To apply, one must present the following:
- Philippine passport with at least six months of validity from the date of travel
- Email address and mobile number
- Date of arrival and address where they will be residing in Singapore
