Like ‘regular people’: Kris Aquino says she will limit posting about sons Joshua and Bimby on social media
Kris Aquino said she will give her sons Joshua and Bimby “enough privacy” by limiting her social posts about them—just like “regular people.” This is after she went to social media last month to address the bashing and hurtful comments her children have been receiving online.
In separate social media posts in March, Kris asked bashers to stop posting hurtful comments about her sons—particularly regarding rumors that Joshua has impregnated a girl (which Kris denied) and comments pertaining to Bimby’s sexual preference (Kris said she knows Bimby does not identify as gay but “in the event he ever does, he will still be my son).
And in a new tell-all video posted on her official social media accounts on Friday, April 9, Kris took responsibility for the comments Joshua and Bimby have received online, saying she’s “partly to blame” for it.
"I'm partly to blame kung nadamay man mga anak ko,” she said. “I’m taking full responsibility.”
With this, Kris said she will limit posting about her children online to avoid putting them in the spotlight. She explained, “I can never shield them fully because from the time they were born, I was already Kris but I can choose what I can show you.”
The TV host added she will just post like how “regular people” share photos and videos of their children during special occasions.
“They post birthdays. They post trips. So that's the decision I made, yun ang ipapakita ko sa inyo. The regular things that regular people show people dahil lahat ng magulang yun ang ginagawa,” she said.
“You will still see them du’n sa mga events na mga regular na tao. ‘Yun ang mga nilalabas nila, e so nire-review ko. They will have enough privacy. But you cannot see them as often as you used to.”
She ended her latest video by thanking her supporters. “Wala akong utang na loob sa mga taong walang magawa sa buhay nila kundi pintasan ako. Pero napakalaki ng utang na loob ko dun sa mga taong come what may minamahal nyo ko.”
Kris has been very open about her family life on social media the past few years—to the point where she would post minute details about her children’s lives, such as when Bimby received a first honor award at school earlier this year. But looking at Kris’ Instagram page today will reveal the TV host has already deleted a number of posts that included her sons Joshua and Bimby.
