Namamasko po!
Experience a magical Christmas at McDonald’s Drive-Thru
Salo-salo—a Filipino word commonly heard at the dining table. It’s a traditional practice, where people come together and bond over hearty meals.
In the provinces, this culture invites every Juan—families, friends, and even visitors from neighboring towns—to collectively celebrate special occasions like Christmas.
Such a spirit of togetherness makes mundane things extra magical. McDonald’s Philippines knows this all too well and so it brings the “Barrio Pasko” vibes to the metro with its Ride-Thru Christmas Light Show.
Spreading warmth and holiday cheer nationwide
In north Metro Manila, McDonald’s Quezon Avenue-Ligaya features a festive design that resembles a bahay kubo.
Complete with sawali (traditional hand-woven split bamboo walling) and an array of warm-toned Christmas lights, trees, and parols, its drive-thru area emulates the hospitable atmosphere of Filipino homes during the holidays.
What makes this year’s light show even more special? McDonald’s has expanded the participating stores to even include Cebu and Davao! All seven participating stores will delight their customers with their magical themes, from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m., until Jan. 5, 2025.
Customers will also enjoy this festive experience at McDonald’s Pioneer Reliance in Mandaluyong, Paseo Arcenas in Cebu, Maa Diversion in Davao, Clarkgate in Pampanga, Southwoods in Laguna, and McKinley West in Taguig.
Each of the branches will display a different theme, providing a unique drive-thru experience for you and your loved ones (and making it a must to visit all of them!).
‘Love ko ang Pasko, Love ko ang McDo’
And because Christmas with McDo is the gift that keeps on giving, they are also giving your favorite Chicken McDo and McFlurry a holiday twist: for Chicken McDo, Sweet Barbeque Glazed; and for McFlurry, Tiramisu (coffee with bits of malt) and Hazelnut (rich, crunchy Hazelnut chocolate).
To get customers into the Christmas spirit even more, McDonald’s Philippines is selling reusable cups for the first time, called the Happy Christmas collection. They come in four designs, and customers can mix and match the lids. This collectible can be yours just by adding P79 to your value meal.
Last but not least, together with Coca-Cola Philippines, McDonald’s Philippines will be donating Noche Buena packages to 300 Filipino families and 1.5-M Happy Meal toys to different local government units and non-profit organizations.
“Spreading holiday good times and cheer should not only be for customers but also for those who need it more,” says Adi Timbol-Hernandez, McDonald’s Philippines Assistant Vice President, Corporate Relations Impact.
Christmas allows us to appreciate the blessing of being loved and cared for by our families. McDonald’s Philippines wants to be part of every Filipino celebration, building a united community through food.
