‘Not into marriage?’ Derek Ramsay addresses comments amid rumored split with Andrea Torres
Actor Derek Ramsay has yet to respond to reports that he and actress Andrea Torres have already broken up. But that didn’t stop him from responding to netizens who have left comments about his relationship with Torres on his Instagram account.
Speculation about the state of Ramsay and Torres’ relationship started late last week, when followers of the two GMA-7 artists noticed that they were no longer following each other on social media. Photos of Ramsay also disappeared from Torres’ Instagram page.
In Ramsay’s Nov. 16 Instagram post—an ad campaign for one of his endorsements—it can be seen that some of his followers are speculating on the cause of the supposed break-up, even though both Ramsay and Torres have not officially addressed the rumors.
“I think he’s not into marriage,” one netizen asked.
The 43-year-old Ramsay answered: “I think you are wrong.”
The actor also didn’t let lewd comments about Torress pass. In response to a user who said “Tapos na tikiman si babae,” Ramsay replied: “Huwag naman po bastos.”
He also addressed a user who said that all of his onscreen partners have been his girlfriend.
“The new victim should be his new love team,” the user commented.
“There is no truth to what you are saying!!! Andrea is the only leading lady I had that became my (girlfriend),” Ramsay said.
Still, Ramsay urged his fans not to “stoop down” to the level of his bashers by “wishing nasty things to happen to them” after the onslaught of comments he has received about his supposed split with Torres.
Ramsay and Torres admitted they were in a relationship late 2019, after both starred in the GMA-7 soap opera The Better Woman.
In an online interview in April this year, Ramsay even said that during the quarantine period, he was “thinking a lot about having kids and settling down.”
“(Andrea) would make a beautiful wife, like, we get along in so many ways,” he added.
Ramsay was in a number of high-profile relationships in the past. Prior to Torres, he was in a relationship with actresses Solenn Heussaff, Angelica Panganiban, Cristine Reyes, and model Joanne Villablanca.
