PSA: Ghibli Park to open international ticket sales
Overseas tourists that want to visit Ghibli Park can soon book tickets to the attraction without going through a travel agency, as it will soon launch an international ticket site.
According to Timeout.com, tickets for March 15 to April 30, 2023 will go on sale on January 10, 2023.
Currently, those who want to visit the theme park can only purchase tickets in Japan through Boo-Woo Tickets service or JTB travel agency accommodation package deal.
However, tickets through the international site are limited to some exhibits like the Ghibli's Grand Warehouse. Access to other areas like Hill of Youth and Dondoko Forest have yet to be announced. Entry times are also limited to 12 p.m.
Tickets for the theme park are as follows:
Ghibli's Great Warehouse
- ¥2,000 (~P830) for adults on weekdays
- ¥1,000 (~P420) for kids on weekdays
- ¥2,500 (~P1,000) for adults on weekends and holidays
- ¥1,250 (P~520) for kids on weekends and holidays
Youth Hill
- ¥1,000 (~P420) for adults
- ¥500 (~P210) for kids
Dondoko Forest
- ¥1,000 (~P420) for adults
- ¥500 (~P210) for kids
Ghibli Park opened its doors to visitors on Nov. 1 and is located in the Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park. The theme park features attractions to fan-favorite movies like My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle, and more.
