Flight gets delayed over spilled rice in aisle
A flight from Atlanta to Houston got delayed allegedly due to spilled rice in the aisle.
Jennifer Schaper recently wrote about her experience in a series of tweets, which she jokingly called the “Rice Gate.”
“Just boarded the plane and somebody spilled food. The flight attendant screamed ‘Who spilled rice?’ and is walking up and down the aisles. They are refusing to leave the gate until someone cleans the rice,” she tweeted, showing a photo of the spilled food on the floor.
Because my travels seem to involve unintentional comedy:

Passengers joked and laughed about the matter, which made the flight attendant give them a “suspicious” look. Jennifer shared that the latter didn’t let the plane take off until the yellow rice was cleaned.
The Southwest Airlines customer later gave an update that they have gotten rid of the mess but the flight attendant was still "mad" at them. “She has let us all know that we were not raised right and she is disappointed in all of us.”

When the flight finally took off, Jennifer said that the staff didn’t provide them with beverage service because there were a “few bumps” during the trip. “I think it was punishment,” she added.
Southwest Airlines has replied to the passenger’s last update and apologized for not giving them onboard refreshments during the flight. “Safety is always our number one priority, but we hope that we can make it up to you next time! Thank you for bearing there with us, Jennifer,” the airline company tweeted.
