Japan introduces spreadable coffee perfect for waking you up in the morning
Heads up, coffee lovers. The coffee toast spread is making a return to the Land of the Rising Sun.
Japan's Megmilk Snow Brand, or Yukijirushi Megmilk brand, is set to once again offer their Yukijirushi Coffee Soft, a type of coffee-flavored spreadable jam that's perfect for breakfast. For extreme coffee lovers, you can even eat it for lunch and dinner.
Yukijirushi Coffee Soft first made its debut in 2017 for a limited-time release, but now it's returning to Japanese stores in time for the company's 60th anniversary. During its initial release, Japanese coffee lovers also made the product fly off the shelves.
In case you didn't know, Yukijirushi Coffee is one of Japan's famous milk coffee brands, as they also offer a variety of different coffee products such as Coffee Chocolate Mint, gelato, and more.
Unfortunately, Filipino coffee fans will have to wait a while before it reaches our shores, as it's only available in Japanese stores for now at 275 yen (P111) for 140 grams of the caffeinated spread.
If you're raring for a Japanese trip, fear not as the popular tourist spot is actually planning to give entry to more tourists and loosen border protocols in the months to come.
