Watch Gilas Pilipinas live in action at Olympic qualifiers for free with Baygon
Starting tonight, the country’s top insecticide brand Baygon will host free public screenings of the Philippines Men’s National Basketball Team FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament matches. This historic event is the last shot of Gilas Pilipinas to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics - a long time coming since the Philippines last qualified for the Olympics in basketball in 1972.
The watch parties will be held at the FilOil EcoOil Centre located at J24M+65F, Col. Bonny Serrano Ave, San Juan City, set on the following schedules:
- July 3, 2024 (9:30 PM) - Game 1: Latvia vs. Philippines
- July 4, 2024 (6:00 PM) - Game 2: Georgia vs. Philippines
The two-day event will feature free activities such as free throw shootouts, trick shots, and dance challenges; free food; and limited-edition giveaways.
#PullUpYourSocks
Baygon will also take the opportunity to launch its #PullUpYourSocks advocacy to promote dengue awareness and prevention amid the rainy season. It will give away product samples during the event.
“Baygon encourages all Filipinos to regularly spray indoor areas with mosquito and multi-insect Killer sprays and use mosquito repellents while on the go,” Baygon said in its announcement.
“The #PullUpYourSocks movement brings together Filipinos of all ages, urging them to pull up their socks as a symbol of oneness with the national team's quest for success and as a timely reminder to remain vigilant against dengue risks,” it added.
