Miss Grand founder Nawat Itsaragrisil questions MJ Lastimosa's sincerity, says he's no longer friends with her
Miss Grand International founder Nawat Itsaragrisil has decided to end his friendship with Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa after seeing the latter's vlog entry.
In the said video, which was posted in October, MJ asked trans beauty queen Maki Gingoyon which pageant was the "worst" for her.
Maki was hesitant to answer at first but later said "Miss Grand," referring to the local and international editions, which made them both laugh.
The video seemed to reach Nawat, who then started a live video and said that it was unlike his previous interactions with the Filipina beauty queen.
The Thai media personality said that MJ flew to Indonesia last year and asked for a ticket and backstage pass and even asked for an interview.
"I helped her a lot. Even this year in Vietnam," he said.
Nawat said he was shocked to see MJ's reaction in her vlog, and that she "acts [in a] different way" when she wants something from him.
Nawat then stated that he wanted to cut ties with MJ and asked her not to attend Miss Grand again.
"I think we are no more, our relationship between MJ and our organization and myself. Don't come to Miss Grand anymore, okay? We don't know each other from now [on]," he said.
"I don't want to meet people like you. It's below standard. It's not sincere," he added.
Before this, Nawat also took a swipe at Nikki de Moura, the Philippines' representative at this year's Miss Grand International pageant, in another live video. He claimed that the beauty queen immediately went backstage and packed up after the Top 20 candidates were announced.
"She [doesn’t] pay attention to others. She [doesn’t show] respect. She [doesn’t] have [a] responsibility," Nawat said.
"Did you see her? If you see her, I [will] give you one million US (dollars]," he said, adding it’s "difficult to work with" Nikki, who only "did what she wanted."
MJ and Nikki have yet to address the issue.
