Sharon Cuneta couldn't hold her emotions on social media after senatorial aspirant Salvador Panelo sang one of her hit songs on the campaign without her permission.

Cuneta's outburst began when her daughter Kakie Pangilinan quote tweeted CNN Philippines's video with "lol" or laugh out loud. It shows Panelo serenading the crowd with Cuneta's Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas.

"Senatorial candidate Sal Panelo serenades the crowd with Sharon Cuneta’s hit song 'Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas' during Sara Duterte’s meet-and-greet with LGBTQIA+ groups in Quezon City," the network wrote in a tweet accompanying the 27-second video.

Minutes after Pangilinan's tweet, Cuneta replied to her, condemning Panelo.

"WHY?!!!Tell me WHY?!!!I gotta fight for my song’s rights as well as Willy Cruz’s who wrote it!" she wrote. "Cannot be.Di dapat sinisira ang isang classic. Basta TAYO ANG AT MAY ORIG!"

"Oh please WE HAVE NOT ALLOWED YOU TO USE OUR SONG!Please stop. Nakakaawa naman ang kanta namin at nakakahiya," she continued.

Pangilinan jokingly told her mother to "put the phone down" following her reaction.

Cuneta then replied, "You're jas my dawter u obey me i dont obey u."

"taray mo bestie," her daughter clapped back.

In 13 more tweets, written within seconds to minutes of each other, the "Megastar" aired her frustrations with how Panelo supposedly ruined the song.

"Nakakahiya sa amin! Donchu dare agen pls!" she tweeted 4:33pm.

In a quick follow up, she said, "OMG i kenat get over dis! You SHALL NOT PASS! Sabi nga ni Gandalf. Pls pls pls STOP IT! Lol"

A minute after, "Baka bumangon si Willy Cruz utang na loob kanta ng asawa ni Kiko yan para lang yan sa mga Leni-Kiko!!!! Pls pls pls Lol." Cuneta has openly expressed her support for Leni Robredo's presidential bid. Robredo's running mate Kiko Pangilinan, meanwhile, is, of course, Cuneta's husband.

And a minute after that, "Why o WHY LAWAAAAY!"

She reiterated her sheer disapproval 10 minutes later: "I DON'T LIKE!"

The salvo of tweets against Panelo went on, with "NO!" and "Dey sira my song! Waaaaaahhhh lol" at 4:46pm, "Kapaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal nila!" at 4:47pm, and "Dey sira my song!!! En dey will sira more!!!" at 4:50pm.

Cuneta also dared Panelo to try one of the songs of OPM icon Ely Buendia, a fellow "Kakampink" who attends Robredo's sorties with them, "nang magkagera na!!!"

"Kainis! Dey bastos our songs waaaahh! Try doing one more of mine sige lang!!!" she warned in a 4:52pm tweet.

When she seems to have calmed down already, Cuneta ended her rant with a joke: "Wait i ask my guardian angel to patid!" or trip someone over, seemingly alluding to Panelo.

Cuneta also addressed the matter to Instagram, reiterating that the Duterte-Carpio camp cannot use their song and they shouldn't mess with a classic that's her song.

"I allow its use only for Leni-Kiko! LOL." Cuneta wrote on Instagram. "Kinilabutan ako. In a bad way. Lol," as she tagged her daughters.

Many netizens in the comments sections found amusement over Cuneta's reaction.

"Hahaha! Shutacca Ate Shawie!" one Twitter user wrote.

"TAMA BEHAVIOR PO MOMMY," another Twitter user wrote.

Industry colleague John Arcilla, who's also backing Robredo's candidacy, replied on Cuneta's Instagram post, "Oo nga naman."

Panelo and the Duterte-Carpio camp have yet to react to the matter.
