Daniel Padilla, Ely Buendia to collaborate on new song
A new song featuring Daniel Padilla and Eraserheads' lead vocalist and principal songwriter, Ely Buendia, is in the works.
This came to light as Padilla teased his fans during an interview with ABS-CBN News.
"I'll have something with Ely Buendia. May mga gagawin. Secret pa. Secret muna," he teased, adding that he wanted to come up with new music before heading back to the concert stage.
“Madali lang magput-up ng concert. New music muna!” he said.
Last Monday, Feb. 12, the "Supreme idol" renewed his contract with Star Magic amid speculation that he was leaving the agency. During that time, the local actor said he wished to spend more time with his loved ones and focus on work—weeks after his high-profile breakup with longtime partner Kathryn Bernardo.
"I have new goals in life now. I wanna spend time with my family, my friends," said Padilla.
"'Yun lang. I wanna sulk in life, enjoy life to the fullest. Yun muna ang focus ko. Work, family," he added, while giving a shout-out to his siblings Magui, JC, Carmella, and mother Karla Estrada.
Future movie projects
Going solo, Padilla confirmed to the media outlet that movie projects are also in the works. These include a dark-comedy movie called Nang Mapagod si Kamatayan, together with Zanjoe Marudo, and The Guest with veteran actor John Arcilla.
Likewise, the 28-year-old actor shared that a project with Diamond Star Maricel Soriano is "under development," highlighting that he wanted to do movies that are heart-warming and are not solely focused on intimate love,
"Let's make something different," he said.
Daniel joined showbiz in 2010 when he was 15 years old. He rose to fame in 2011 when he got paired with his ex-girlfriend Bernardo for the teleserye Growing Up.
