Megan Fox bares miscarriage in new poetry book
Actress Megan Fox revealed that she suffered a miscarriage while two months pregnant with her baby with her fiancé, rapper Colson Baker, a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly.
E! News reported that Megan reflected on the miscarriage in her new poetry book Pretty Boys are Poisonous.
"There is an ultrasound by your side of the bed," she writes. "10 weeks and 1 day."
"I close my eyes and imagine," she writes. "Holding you tight against my chest."
"I will pay any price tell me please what is the ransom for her soul?" she concludes.
In an interview with Good Morning America, Megan said she’s “never been through anything like that” in her life. Having three kids from her ex-husband actor Brian Austin Green, she noted it’s “very difficult” for her and MGK to lose their child.
“[I]t sent us on a very wild journey together and separately...trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?' and 'Why did this happen?'" she said.
Last year, MGK alluded to the baby without mentioning the miscarriage during a performance of his song Twin Flame, which he said he wrote for his “wife,” Fox.
“This is for our unborn child,” he said.
According to Megan's Instagram post, the poems in Pretty Boys are Poisonous were written “in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence.”
She noted she spent her “entire life keeping the secrets of men,” as her “body aches from carrying the weight of their sins.”
“My freedom lives in these pages and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what’s been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness.”
Megan and MGK started dating in 2020 after meeting on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass. They got engaged in January 2022.
