The competition will run every Saturday, starting on Feb. 15 until March 15 at 7 p.m., where spectators will get to watch vibrant and outstanding firework displays accompanied by lights and sounds.
As the host country, PH’s Platinum Fireworks Inc. will serve as an opening act of the event on Feb. 15, which will be followed by a performance by Austria’s Steyrfire Feuerwerke.
Lighting up the sky on Feb. 22 are performances by France’s Luxfactory Fireworks and China’s Polaris Fireworks Co Ltd.
The third set on March 1 will see shows by the USA’s Razzi Fireworks and Germany’s Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke. On March 8, taking center stage are South Korea’s Faseecom Co Ltd and United Kingdom’s Pyrotex Fireworkx.
On the last day on March 15, Canada’s Royal Pyrotechnie will show off their performance, followed by PH’s Platinum Fireworks Inc. again for the closing ceremony.
More details including ticket prices and selling dates have yet to be announced.
This will be the event’s second comeback following its hiatus from 2020 to 2023 due to the pandemic. Their 11th edition was held in February this year, where Germany’s Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke emerged as the winner.
Formerly known as the World Pyro Olympics, the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition is being held for several weeks and has two countries exhibiting their fireworks show each day. The host of the event does not participate in the competition but performs a fireworks display on the last night.
