Still haven't received your National ID? Here's how you can track its status

How long has it been since you applied for a National ID?

As most users on Twitter have shared, some have been waiting for over a year for the ID even though they've been told by personnel from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) that it would be delivered within six months.

PSA has recently addressed this on Facebook and shared a way for applicants to track the status of the ID online. Here's how you can check out the progress on yours.

  • Visit tracking.phlpost.gov.ph
  • Enter the tracking number indicated on the slip you received when you got your ID.
  • Click on Track to see the status. It will either say your ID is In Transit, Delivered, or Not Found.

If your status says "Not Found," PSA said that your National ID might have not yet been dispatched to the Post Office. It doesn't mean that your card has been lost.

The PSA also said that due to the pandemic, they have been prioritizing delivering National IDs to low-income families that registered in 2020 and early 2021. A PhilSys mobile app is also in the works to serve as an alternative and digital version of the ID.

According to the agency, over 10 million individuals have received their cards nationwide as of May 2022.

Those who haven't registered for the National ID can apply online through the PhilSys website.
