Here's some surprise for you, Starbucks and Wicked fans!
Starbucks Philippines has released new Wicked-themed offerings just in time for the movie’s release on Nov. 20.
Fans can pick from the wide options of Wicked drinkware inspired by the film’s iconic duo, Elphaba and Glinda.
For the Glinda collection, you may choose between the Prism Cold Cup with Wand Straw Topper (24 oz.) which also comes with a keychain, or a 16 oz. Pearl Tumbler with “G” charm.
The Elphaba collection, meanwhile, offers a glow-in-the-dark pleated cold cup with a broom straw, or a glow-in-the-dark tumbler which you can adorn with Grimmerie charm. There’s also the gold cold cup with Oz charm from the Emerald City collection.
For drinks, freshen up with Glinda’s Pink Potion drink, which is a Mango Dragonfruit refresher that has creamy coconut milk, topped with a nondairy strawberry cold foam and ruby red cookie crumbs, while Elphaba’s Cold Brew is a signature cold brew spruced up with peppermint-flavored syrup and topped with non-dairy matcha cold foam.
Other than the merchandise and drinks, you can also avail of the limited-edition Starbucks Card with a minimum load of P500, which you can also use as a holiday gift for your fellow Wicked fans.
The special drinks will be available for a limited time in all stores nationwide, though the new merchandise will be only available in select stores.
Wicked tells the untold story of the witches of Oz. In its latest movie adaptation, it centers on Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), a young woman with unusual green skin who has yet to discover her true power, and Glinda (Ariana Grande), who is popular and gilded by privilege and ambition but has yet to discover her true heart.
After meeting as students in the fantastical Land of Oz, they unexpectedly form a close bond. However, their friendship gets tested after an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and their lives take very different paths.
The film is directed by Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M. Chu, and produced by Marc Platt and David Stone.
Wicked: Part One opens in cinemas on Nov. 20, while the second part is scheduled to arrive in theaters in 2025.
