Gordon Ramsay welcomes 6th child at 57: 'What an amazing birthday present'
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay welcomed his sixth child at 57 years old.
On Instagram, Gordon shared photos of her wife, cookery book author Tana Ramsay, 49, and their newborn son Jesse James, in the hospital.
“What an amazing birthday present,” said Gordon, who celebrated his birthday last Nov. 8.
He noted that Jesse James is a “7lbs 10oz whopper.”
“One more bundle of love to the Ramsay brigade!!”
Gordon appears to have hinted that Jesse James would be his last child, saying, “3 boys, 3 girls…. Done,” in reference to one of his famous lines whenever he completes a dish.
Gordon and Tana got married in 1996. They're already parents to Megan, 25; twins Jack and Holly, 23; Tilly, 22; and Oscar, 4.
In previous interviews, Gordon said his wife had polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), a condition in which the ovaries produce an abnormal amount of androgens, male sex hormones that are usually present in women in small amounts. Women with PCOS may not ovulate and may have missed or irregular menstrual periods.
Gordon, meanwhile, said he had a low sperm count and struggled to conceive during the early years of their marriage. They opted for IVF or in vitro fertilization, a process in which the egg is fertilized by sperm in a lab and placed in the uterus.
In 2016, Tana suffered a miscarriage.
