Bank employee found dead at her desk four days later
A woman was found dead in her cubicle four days after she clocked in for work.
ABC News reported that the 60-year-old employee who worked at Wells Fargo in Arizona scanned into the building on Aug. 16 and was found lifeless at her desk on Aug. 20.
According to Wells Fargo, her work area was located in an underpopulated part of the establishment, so it took a while for others to notice she was dead.
The cause of her death is yet to be determined. Authorities at Tempe Police Department said that the preliminary investigation "did not show any obvious signs of foul play."
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague, Denise Prudhomme," Wells Fargo said in a statement. "Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, and we are in contact to ensure they are well supported during this difficult time."
Employees who have been affected by what happened will be provided counseling.
"We are committed to the safety and wellness of our workforce," the company's spokesperson said.
