No National ID still? Here's how you can get a printable ePhilID for now
You can now download a digital version of your National ID and print it out in case you still haven't received the physical card.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announced that the various formats of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) digital ID, including the printed ePhilID, would now be accepted as valid and sufficient proof of identity and age. This would serve as an alternative ID for those who still have not yet received their physical National ID card.
On Oct. 21, the Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) announced that ePhilIDs would be accepted as valid ID for passport applications.
Filipinos who've already registered for the National ID can also start claiming their ePhilID by setting an appointment online and then printing it out for their use.
The printed ID shows information such as your full name, sex, blood type, marital status, date and place of birth, address, generation date, QR code, and a 1x1 photo.
To claim the ePhilID, you must first make an appointment through the PhilSys website and have the transaction slip you received for your National ID at the ready. Visit the website here.
After agreeing to the Privacy Notice, tick the I Agree box. This will take you to a new page asking for your 29-digit reference number from your transaction slip. Then, provide all the information needed such as name, email address, and contact number.
Once you've filled up the form, wait for a verification code to be sent to your mobile number and email address. Next, choose the registration center, date, and time to set up an appointment for where you will pick up your printed ePhilID.
An appointment slip will then be sent to your email, which you should print out or save a copy on your phone as it will be presented for the printing of your ID.
Printing of ePhilID is initially available in Metro Manila, Bulacan, and Pampanga.

In addition to a digital/printed ePhilID, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is working with the PSA on a mobile app for the National ID.
The app would serve as a digital alternative for the National ID and is eyed for an early 2023 release.
