Women in New York City trash fry joint after having to pay for extra dipping sauce
Three women were arrested in New York City after they were caught on camera trashing a restaurant and attacking its employees because they had to pay $1.75 for extra dipping sauce.
Video footage of the incident posted by Bel Fries chef Rafael Nuñez went viral on TikTok and Twitter. The clips showed the three women hitting the fry joint's plastic barrier, climbing over the counter, and throwing bottles at the employees.

"They wanted extra sauce for the fries, and when we explained that it costs $1.75, they got upset. And that's where it all started," Nuñez told Univision.
"We explained to them that this is a business rule and that it is the same for everyone, but they did not understand," he added.
Another employee, Victoria Baez, who was present said the people thought it was a joke. She turned on the alarm to scare them but they still continued the attack.
"The saddest thing is that everyone saw it as a joke and laughed. No one stopped them," Baez said.
In the video, people in the background are seen filming the three women and screaming during the incident.
According to Newsweek, the New York Police Department has arrested the assailants and charged them with criminal possession of a weapon. One of the suspects also received charges of assault and resisting arrest after she punched an officer in the face.
Bel Fries owner Annalee Shlossberg said two employees were hit in the head with glass bottles. She added that her focus is on ensuring her workers are safe.
"My number one priority is making sure all of my employees are not only physically okay, but mentally okay. I know they're suffering from traumatic shock from the event," she said.
The owner has also hired a security guard to prevent similar incidents from happening.
