Heart Evangelista gets real about ‘going through some personal struggles’ in life
Heart Evangelista admitted that life hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows for her lately.
Without getting into detail, the actress shared that she’s been “going through a lot of personal stuff,” but she remains grateful for everything she has and continues to focus on life’s silver linings.
“As long as there’s life, there’s hope—and I try to see the beautiful things in everything that I go through,” she said.
“I’m not going to deny that I’ve been going through some personal struggles. I feel a lot of pressure in my life. Basically now, I’m really in search of just being happy,” added Heart.
Sharing a remarkable realization she made during this challenging time, the local star noted that it’s the little things that matter at the end of the day. “I’ve come to realize that life is also not just about the material stuff. I mean, it helps a bit and I’ve been always saying how putting on the best shade of lipstick, the best clothes kind of helps you uplift your mood. But really, it’s about the simplest things in life that are very important and that really makes a person happy and that’s where I’m at now.”
Among the things she has been appreciating the most at present are the “small moments” and all the love she has received not only from the people around her but also from her fur babies.
Aside from being thankful for it all, she also sees her current hardships as opportunities for growth. “It feels good to be empowered and know that you can do things on your own no matter how hard—certain situations in your company, in your workplace, or the people around you, or what weighs you down,” Heart said.
She continues to take inspiration from various women who continue to give her strength. “I feel like at the end of the day, it’s really your inner strength and you being independent about what you want to do in life and not rely on anyone. So that’s where I’m at and everything else in life is a bonus.”
Going back to the utmost gratitude and contentment she’s been feeling, Heart noted, “Being content doesn’t mean you can’t do more in your life. I feel like you’ve only got one life to live.”
