Globe Business gives womenpreneurs a big push to break barriers
More and more women are breaking the glass ceiling and becoming power entrepreneurs.
While womenpreneurs are given more opportunities now, there's still room to help them overcome the challenges of limited access to funding, insufficient mentorship, and a lack of support system to cope with the demands of work-life balance.
For this year’s celebration of International Women’s Month, Globe Business is giving womenpreneurs the support they need through empowering innovations and opportunities to kickstart their ventures, accelerate their growth, and enable them to continue making an impact in different industries.
Whether it’s greater financial literacy, new technologies that will help them sell more, or a support group that identifies with their struggles and helps them stay inspired, womenpreneurs will have something that can help ease their burdens and give them the essential push towards success with the help of Globe Business.
This year, Globe Business joined Cosmopolitan Philippines in putting the spotlight on fun, fearless and forward women who made a difference in their respective platforms and careers.
“It’s no secret that women entrepreneurs are faced with a handful of challenges. As we continue to empower Filipino womenpreneurs, Globe Business has forged partnerships and collaborations with efforts that will give them easy access to digital solutions and enriching programs, arming them more to succeed in their chosen industry,” said KD Dizon, head of MSME Group at Globe Business.
Improving access to finance
To improve financial inclusivity among women entrepreneurs and help them succeed in the digital economy, Globe Business has partnered with SME Financial Empowerment, an educational program that will help MSMEs improve their credit score ranking when they enroll to build financial literacy skills and gain better understanding of cross-border financial services relevant to them.
Under this partnership, existing Globe Business customers will get free passes into the SME Financial Empowerment program starting April 15, that will provide MSMEs with the necessary financial skills and tools they need to thrive in today’s digital world.
Growing brand presence
Womenpreneurs can also maximize the ease and power of m360, a cloud-based, multi-channel messaging platform, to power up their business by enabling them to reach their customers faster and safer with the customized sender ID.
The first 100 customers to sign up until April 30 through https://glbe.co/IWMm360 will get a 30-day free trial of m360 Web DIY, which starts at P299, to get them started at growing their brand presence and expanding their footprint among customers.
Expanding networks and connections
Globe Business continues to be involved in back-to-back conferences to bridge women entrepreneurs to the support they need and help them forge business relationships.
On March 8, they participated in the Women Lead Conference, an event by the Women’s Business Council, in partnership with the Italian Chamber of Commerce, which tackled wide-ranging topics on women, including entrepreneurship, leadership and work-life balance.
Angie Po, MSME Group Product Marketing Head of Globe Business, discussed how women entrepreneurs can reap the benefits of embracing technology and digitalization in overcoming the barriers that delay the growth of their businesses.
Globe Business was also part of the Women Innovating in Tech panel discussion in the annual GoNegosyo Women Summit last March 18 at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay Activity Area.
We are one with every woman entrepreneur in breaking the barriers and owning their power by providing them various innovations and enabling programs that will provide them the tech support.
The summit gathered women leaders, particularly in the tech industry, thriving women entrepreneurs, enablers and innovators to mentor and share inspiring stories of resilience and success in the digital era.
Celebrating successful and inspiring Women entrepreneurs
This year, Globe Business joined Cosmopolitan Philippines in putting the spotlight on fun, fearless and forward women who made a difference in their respective platforms and careers.
In its third year, the Cosmopolitan Women Of Influence honored nine inspirational Filipinas during the recognition dinner last March 21. Globe Business and Cosmopolitan recognized Hiyasmin Neri-Soyao of Shoppertainment Live as a retail business owner who has successfully pivoted her micro-enterprise to digitalization, paving the way to empower 250 brands to expand their channels via online live selling.
To culminate the month-long celebration of women empowerment, Globe Business will also premiere the two-part season finale of “At Your SerBIZ!” on its YouTube channel, featuring empowered women who are empowering other women.
Capping off the first season of the online talk show, the special episode will tell the success stories of Bela Gupta d’Souza, founder and CEO of Edamama; Carla Sy-Su, entrepreneur-in-residence of venture builder 917Ventures and Capitan.ph; Minette Navarette, president and co-founder of Kickstart Ventures; and viral content creator behind “Mighty Magulang” and the longest-serving national president of Autism Society of the Philippines, Mona Magno-Veluz.
Hosted by inspirational speaker and businessman Francis Kong, the talk show will also reveal how these exemplary women have made waves through innovation and technology.
“We are one with every woman entrepreneur in breaking the barriers and owning their power by providing them various innovations and enabling programs that will provide them the tech support, upskilling, and easier access to potential funding sources that they need for their tuloy-tuloy na success,” said Dizon.
