BLACKPINK’s Jennie establishes her own label, ODD ATELIER (OA)
BLACKPINK's Jennie has added another milestone to her already impressive resume as the Korean superstar established an agency of her very own.
The You & Me singer announced the news on Instagram via a series of photos showing the label's logo and a message written in English and Korean.
"Hi, this is Jennie. This year was filled with many accomplishments, and I'm so thankful for all the love I've received. I'm also excited about what's to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA (ODD ATELIER). Please show lots of love for my new start with OA and of course, BLACKPINK. Thank you," she wrote.
According to its official website, Jennie founded the label in November 2023. It's described as a "space that aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected."
Earlier this month, the group's talent agency, YG Entertainment, announced that BLACKPINK members Rosé, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo have renewed their exclusive contracts for group activities. This means the talent agency will still manage Jennie's group activities with BLACKPINK, while OA will be on top of her solo commitments.
South Korean TV network tvN revealed that Jennie is among the cast members for its upcoming variety show, Apartment 404, in a teaser uploaded to its official YouTube channel on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
This will be the singer's first variety show after five years following Village Survival: The Eight in 2018. She also made her solo comeback last October with the release of her new dance-pop track You & Me.
