Secret’s (almost) out: Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader are reportedly in a relationship for more than a year
The cat’s out of the bag for Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball lead Bill Hader as an insider revealed that the two actors have been dating for over a year now.
An anonymous source told PEOPLE that the pair first linked after starring together in Disney+’s Christmas film Noelle in 2019 and have gone under the radar with the relationship ever since. Prior to the film, Kendrick also guest hosted Saturday Night Live, where Hader is a resident cast member.
The insider’s report read: “Anna has been dating Bill quietly for over a year. They met years ago. She's hosted Saturday Night Live and they've done a movie together, but they got together well after the movie."
The source also shared that Kendrick has been “really, really happy” with her growing romance with Hader. In addition, the source said that the couple has easily been tight-lipped about it and enjoyed the privacy, thanks to the pandemic.
Based on the anonymous scoop, PEOPLE wrote: “They are both very private people, and with the pandemic it was easy to keep it quiet. They're both hysterical so they must keep each other laughing all of the time. She's really, really happy."
The pair have yet to publicly share the word themselves and their reps also have also refused to comment on the reports.
Before their relationship, Kendrick dated cinematographer Ben Richardson who worked on The Fault in Our Stars, while Hader was fresh out of dating Rachel Bilson in 2020 when he got together with the Into the Woods main star.
In the past, Kendrick spoke about how she has realized the kind of relationship that she wants in her life and that the end of a relationship can mean growth for a person.
Sharing to The Sydney Morning Herald in 2020, she spoke: “The real arc that we wanted was to show how we learn from each relationship. Even though our relationships end, it doesn't mean they are complete failures. People come into your life and you grow and they change you, and what you learn from them might be really positive or it might be negative."
