How Gabbi Garcia lives up to her beauty philosophy through her new makeup brand, Five Beauty

Published Nov 23, 2023 2:54 pm

Gabbi Garcia is proving to us that she can be fabulous and also build her own empire now that she has taken on another business venture. Aside from running a food business with her longtime boyfriend Khalil Ramos and a salon business with celebrity hairstylist Mark Anthony Rosales, the Encantadia star officially took her passion for beauty by launching her very own makeup brand, Five Beauty.

Five Beauty was born out of Gabbi's passion for beauty, noting that she is a "fan" of products that are easy to use.

"I am such a beauty girl. I've been really vocal about me appreciating beauty, not just beauty but fashion also," she told the media during the brand's launch. "Anything that you know that can make you really feel good, I'm for it. I am really a fan of beauty that it is not tiring to put on [or] that takes a long step, that's me eh."

"[Five Beauty] is very versatile, very functional to everybody and I can attest to that because I've been using the samples for a month now," Gabbi added.

Beauty for all

Co-founded with fellow beauty girls, Veronica Eala and Isabel Regino, Five Beauty is described as a "hybrid beauty brand, fusing science-based skincare with high-performance color cosmetics, delivering an unparalleled beauty experience."

In a chat with PhilSTAR L!fe, Gabbi said that she can easily relate to the products and wanted to tell beauty junkies that as a "what you see, what you get" girl, Five Beauty requires minimal effort.

"The product itself is not showing intimidation, that's why people can easily relate to it, it's not something that you have to actually think about," Gabbi said. "Its also a 'what you see and what you get' product," she continued.

Beauty should be accessible and enjoyable

Gabbi's love for monochromatic looks paved the way for the idea of having a multi-make-up product that suits eyes, cheeks, and lips—a product, she says, that "represents" her.

She also told L!fe that beauty shouldn't be hard where there is no pressure on how many steps you are going for a complete look.

"Beauty shouldn't be hard. Whatever way you enjoy applying your makeup, that should be it. There should not be any pressure on how many steps, or how many patong of pieces you put, it's really up to you," the GMA artist said.

As a celebrity who is often subjected to unrealistic beauty standards, the Unbreak My Heart star emphasized that she is the "director and in charge of her life," thus no one can dictate to her how she should look and what she should do.

"If I'm gonna say, I ignored [it] that's impossible because I read everything so I'm just being real, but sometimes it gets to me, but I always remind myself na I'm the director of my life, I'm in charge of my life."

She added, "I always count the people I inspired, the people who I actually made happy compared [to the] judgments and you know the mean things."

"If there is a social description of what beauty is, edi magkakaparehas na lang tayo lahat," Gabbi expressed.

Five Beauty is set to launch later this month. Pre-orders will exclusively be available through Lazada from Nov. 27-30.
