The judges have spoken, and these five gorgeous candidates are the standouts of the Miss Universe Philippines challenges.

We’re one step closer to finding out who will win the Miss Universe Philippines crown and represent our country in the international pageant scene. But before we meet the Top 30 candidates, the organization revealed the winners of its five challenges who were selected by the judges.

Take a look at the five ladies who won their respective challenges from the headshot, introduction, runway, casting, and the interview.

Maria Corazon Abalos (Mandaluyong City) - Headshot challenge

Abalos may be a new name in the local pageant scene, but her headshot showed she has what it takes to be a top beauty queen. Her gorgeous face stood out in her photo, highlighting her striking features at their best.

Beatrice Luigi Gomez (Cebu City) - Introduction challenge

Gomez is a community development worker and a reservist in the Philippine Navy Marines prior to joining the pageant. She also described herself as a “huge sports enthusiast and adrenaline junkie” who loves boxing and scuba diving.

The Cebuana lass showed her personality and charm in just a minute. Another noteworthy factor of Gomez’s video was her impressive communication skills that are a must for every beauty queen.

Steffi Rose Aberasturi (Cebu Province) - Runway challenge

Aberasturi has become one of the favorite candidates since her fierce runway walk at the unfinished Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway. The candidate revealed on Instagram that she wore more than one black dress to “promote the new breed of young promising designers.”

Maureen Wroblewitz (Pangasinan) - Casting challenge

With just one look at Wroblewitz’s face, it’s hard to forget her striking features and angles. The Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 winner also shared in her casting video that her cats and ice cream make her happy.

Victoria Velasquez Vincent (Cavite) - Interview challenge

Vincent described herself as the epitome of a Virgo in her interview, and it’s easy to see why. The Caviteña lass also revealed that she converted herself into “a 90% vegan” to protect the environment. She’s also an architect and a heritage conservationist.

From 100 candidates, the organization will narrow the delegates into the final 30 who will compete for the Miss Universe Philippines crown.

Rabiya Mateo, who ended her Miss Universe 2020 journey at the Top 20, is set to crown her successor on Sept. 25.
