GALLERY: Queer stars shine in intimate apparel at historic fashion show
To celebrate pride month, cosmetics and intimate apparel brand Avon held the country's first-ever all-queer underwear fashion show on June 27 at the Baked Studios in Makati City.
The brand introduced the newest and first Flexicomfort intimate apparel line that caters to all body types with its new stretchable technology. It was modeled by a diverse cast of queer performers such as actor-host Paolo Ballesteros, actress Klea Pineda, “King of Catwalk” Sinon Loresca, model Key Trajano, and Drag Race Philippines season 1 alums Precious Paula Nicole and Viñas DeLuxe, who celebrated their bodies and their identities in a powerful display.
"No matter your size, shape, or gender, we want to give you confidence that is high quality and promises the perfect fit that is specially made for you," said Jamila Reyes, Avon PH's Head of Beauty+.
"[It is] made with fabric that stretches, flows, and moves with your bodies with ease," she added, highlighting that the sizes extended to sizes to 42C for bras, 3XL for panties, and up to 2XL for briefs.
As they extend efforts in promoting positive representation of the community, the fashion show was also a fund-raising event to support their partner NGOs.
