Reasons to add new Korean variety show 'Jinny's Kitchen' to your watchlist
What happens when your favorite Korean celebrities join one reality show?
Other than giving us all the feels, fans will be able to see Korean stars Park Seo-joon, Jung Yu-mi, Lee Seo-jin, Choi Woo-shik, and BTS' V in their most natural state as they will be teaming up to run a restaurant business in Mexico for a new variety show, Jinny’s Kitchen.
Curious about what to expect? Here are the reasons why Jinny's Kitchen will be your next favorite show.
Fun chemistry you wouldn’t expect
These stars thrive in their own fields and they were able to show their versatility in this variety show.
Having worked together in various projects together, such as Hwarang, Parasite, and last year in In The Soop, real-life BFFs Seo-joon, Woo-shik, and V unleash their funny sides in Jinny’s Kitchen.
“It gave us a chance to get closer,” said Seo-joon, who shared he has learned new things about his friends.
Joining in the fun are Korean actors Lee Seo-jin and Jung Yu-mi who previously starred in another kitchen reality show, Youn’s Kitchen.
Seo-jin commented: “This time, I learned that Yu-mi and Seo-jun are actually very talkative.”
“Youn's Kitchen was a therapeutic show. It was peaceful and calm. But this is more like a survival show. It's like watching an office drama," Director Director Nah Yung-suk joked, hinting at the show's fun part.
Mouth-watering Korean food featured
Be sure to watch with a full stomach because the dishes that will be featured will surely make you hungry. Aside from seeing how Korean celebrities prepare the food, viewers will also be able to learn more about Korean food and culture.
“It’s easier to make gimbap in Korea,” said Yu-mi, who is in-charge in making gimbap or Korean seaweed rice rolls.
Cozy filming location
In addition to its star-studded cast, Jinny’s Kitchen upgrades the fun as the stars will serve Korean food to foreigners as the show is filmed in the picturesque town of Bacalar, Mexico.
“We made very good memories in Mexico,” said Woo-shik, sharing the fun times they had running the restaurant around the picturesque view of the country.
Filipino fans can stream the newest variety show starting February 24 on Prime Video.
