Liza Soberano 'honored' to serve as presenter at Anime Awards 2024 in Japan
Liza Soberano is over the moon after getting to attend and serve as a presenter at Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024 in Tokyo, Japan on March 2.
The Lisa Frankenstein actress shared some scenes from the event on her Instagram account as she gushed about how honored she was at getting to mingle with some renowned faces in the anime industry. She even had a chance to take a picture with Parasite director Bong Joon-ho.
"Still not over the Anime Awards! What an honor to be amongst legends in the anime, film and entertainment spaces," Liza wrote.
"Thank you Crunchyroll for the incredible opportunity!" she added.
For the event, the 26-year-old star shined as she donned an orange dress with glittering sequins from David Koma, which she paired with some elegant Jimmy Choo pumps for a silver shine.
She presented the award for Best Anime Song at the ceremony, in which Idol by Yoasobi for the drama-mystery series Oshi no Ko won.
"One of the things that truly excites me about anime is the incredible music. When you see that opening sequence, you hear that amazing theme song, and in an instant, you are totally immersed into the world," Liza said during the segment.
Apart from Liza, Pinoy Big Brother alum Ylona Garcia also graced the event as presenter for the "Must Protect at All Costs Character," which in Ylona's words, honors characters who "make our hearts melt. Sometimes funny, sometimes adorable, but always, always, always worth protecting."
