Heart Evangelista, Chiz Escudero to renew wedding vows after 9 years of marriage
Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero are set to renew their wedding vows on Valentine's Day, which is also Heart's birthday.
The senator made the revelation in an interview with Karen Davila on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
When asked why they decided to do it this year, he explained, "I have friends who do it at the fifth year or at the seventh year, especially given the seven-year itch."
"It really depends because if you are truly in love each other, you can actually do it every year if you want," he said.
For Chiz, it's a way to celebrate all the good news they've been receiving lately.
"Only because we have a lot of things to celebrate which I guess we would be able to say or announce in the next couple of months to our friends. It's not really something that the public needs to know, coming from us, but there's a lot to celebrate in life right now," he shared.
The politician added that he's been experiencing so many wins in "[their] family, [their] marriage, between [them], with her." He continued, "Not so much with me but that's good enough for me as well—my marriage, my family, and my health."
This comes almost two years after breakup speculations between Chiz and Heart spread on social media for months. The rumors began in 2022 when the actress removed “Escudero” from her Instagram name. They circulated even further after she admitted she was going through some “personal struggles” and revealed she bought her own place in Paris.
She indirectly shut down the rumors in December last year by posting a photo of herself with the caption: “Walking around Paris before heading home for New Year. P.S. See you soon, @escuderochiz.”
The couple welcomed 2023 as a couple and have since been spotted in several locations together.
They have been married since Feb. 15, 2015.
