Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have reportedly broken up—here’s why
Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have reportedly called it quits.
According to a June 6 report by Entertainment Tonight, an insider revealed that the two “are both extremely busy and realized they’re not really compatible with each other.”
“Taylor’s friends want what’s best for her and aren’t shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship,” they added.
The musicians sparked dating rumors in early May after The Sun exclusively reported that the two are “madly in love” with each other. “They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago but timing just didn’t work out,” a source “close to Taylor” said at the time, emphasizing that there was “no crossover” with the Lover singer’s previous relationship with actor Joe Alwyn.
The romance speculations came a month after Taylor’s reported split with Joe in early April after being together for six years. ET reported that their breakup was “amicable” and “not dramatic.”
The 1975 frontman, meanwhile, was in a three-year relationship with singer-songwriter FKA Twigs before Taylor. He was previously linked to model Charlotte Briar d’Alessio.
