Bea Alonzo wants to 'live a meaningful life' as she celebrates 36th birthday
Bea Alonzo has a very special wish for herself as she turned another year older.
After recently celebrating her 36th birthday on Oct. 17, the actress took to Instagram to express her gratitude to everyone who sent her well wishes on her big day before getting candid about what she wants for herself in the coming years.
"Another year older and wiser. Thanks for all your sweet messages and those who sent gifts and flowers for my birthday," Bea wrote in the caption of a simple yet beautiful picture of herself.
"Every time I know that my bday is coming up, I always get the birthday blues, and this year is no exception. It makes me think of so many things about my life and inspect my life decisions," she shared.
The actress then opened up about wanting to lead a lifestyle filled with purpose.
"You see, I want to live a meaningful life, and I always look for my life’s meaning. And I realized the essence of everything in your life is what you give it," Bea highlighted.
The local star had some life-changing events happen to her in the past few months, such as her engagement to her boyfriend of two years, Dominic Roque.
The love of her life didn't forget to celebrate her big day as well. The actor also posted a collection of romantic photos on his Instagram page, which featured some of their many travel dates together. Their recent out-of-town trip took them to the Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence, Italy.
"Happy, happy birthday hun! I love you," Dominic captioned his post.
Many of Bea's fellow celebrities such as Jericho Rosales, Ryan Agoncillo, Julie Anne San Jose, and Yasmien Kurdi also sent her some sweet greetings to make her feel like the special birthday girl she is.
Bea is set to tie the knot with Dominic next year. While many of her fans can't wait for their wedding, the actress revealed they haven't started planning for it as they're still enjoying their time as a newly engaged couple.
"Pinoproseso pa namin pakiramdam ng bagong engaged—parang wala pang dalawang linggo rin. Alam namin, hindi mababalikan ang feeling na ito. Ayaw muna namin ma-stress sa wedding planning. In fact, wala pa kaming nakukuhang wedding planner din," Bea said in an interview.
She, however, has been spending her time watching wedding videos to get some tips and ideas for when they start planning for their big day.
