Angelica Panganiban looks back on her first year as a mom: 'Hindi palaging madali ang motherhood'
Angelica Panganiban shared her thoughts on her motherhood journey one year after she gave birth to daughter Amila Sabine with her non-showbiz partner Gregg Homan.
On Instagram, Angelica posted videos and photos of baby Amila, whom she calls "Baby Bean," sharing milestones such as playing outdoors, learning to walk, and exploring numbers and colors.
Angelica proudly compared these accomplishments to Amila's early years, highlighting the remarkable growth and development over the course of her daughter's first year.
"Minsan, hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na 1 year old na si Baby Bean," she said.
The actress also acknowledged that motherhood isn't always easy, but she showed her appreciation for the support she received throughout her one year of being a mom.
"So grateful for all of you who have been here from the beginning. Hindi palaging madali ang motherhood. Lalo na sa unang taon. But having all the support from my family, close friends, at syempre sa pinaka-supportive kong asawa. This journey has been so fulfilling!"
“To my little Baby Bean, seeing you grow into the happy little girl you are has made everything so worth it! Mama loves you! I can’t wait to create more LONG LASTING MEMORIES with you,” she added.
Amila recently turned one year old last Sept. 20. Angelica also penned a sweet message to her daughter describing her journey through motherhood as the happiest chapter of her life.
“Punong puno ng takot ang buong pagkatao ko ng ganitong oras last year. Marahil dahil sa dami ng mga hindi ko alam gawin. Sa lahat ng duda. At nang sa hindi ko na mapigilan ang grand entrance mo. Pero sa kabila ng lahat ng kaba, ikaw ang naggabay sa ‘kin kung pano maging isang ina. Hindi perpekto, pero sapat. ‘Yun naman ang mahalaga,” she wrote.
“Salamat salamat salamat nang paulit ulit sa pinakamasayang chapter ng buhay ko. Happy birthday love. Isang taon na ‘kong baliw sayo. Ilang taon pa kaya tayo magiging baliw sa isa’t isa? Mahal na mahal kita nang wagas,” she added.
Amila is the first daughter of Angelica and Gregg. The couple met in 2020 when Angelica was filming for a teleserye in Subic, where Gregg resided. They confirmed their romance in January 2021 and announced their engagement in October 2022.
