Heart Evangelista believes conflict can strengthen relationships

Heart Evangelista believes that healthy conflict can sometimes strengthen a relationship.

In a recent vlog, she revealed that she keeps a letter from her husband Sen. Chiz Escudero, which she keeps by her vanity table.

Sharing the letter, Heart expressed her gratitude for Chiz's unwavering support and love.

"'Believe in yourself as much as I believe in you always. You can do this. You've got this. God is with you and a lot of people love and support you. And I will always just be here for you doing what I can to help you, cheering for you from the sidelines. I’m very proud of you,'" she read the content of the letter, saying she likes to read it from time to time.

Heart emphasized that arguments can reignite passion.

“Grabe talaga sya. Diba? Kaya kailangan minsan inaaway mo ng todo 'yung akala mo this is it, tapos pak na reborn,” Heart said.

Currently in Paris for Fashion Week, Heart has been sharing glimpses of her Parisian life and behind-the-scenes preparations for various fashion events.

Heart and Chiz first met in 2012 and tied the knot in 2015 in Balesin Royal Villa at Balesin Island.

In 2022, breakup rumors began when Heart removed “Escudero” from her Instagram name. Rumors spread further after she admitted she was going through some “personal struggles” and revealed she bought her own place in Paris.

Heart indirectly shut down the rumors in December of the same year by posting a photo of herself with the caption: “Walking around Paris before heading home for New Year. P.S. See you soon, @escuderochiz.”

Two years later, they renewed their vows at the same venue with their closest family and friends.

“Getting married the second time around—we’re even now,” Heart told Chiz during the ceremony last April 2024. “[It] still seems like it’s actually my first, and I do truly believe it’s my first time. Because... I knew what love was before. But now I know what love should be.”

Chiz also said: “It’s been nearly a decade, and we’ve been through a lot of highs and a lot of lows. There was a time when I wished and prayed to God that my tomorrow would become the present, and the present would become the past. Today, He granted my wish.”
