Pinoy Swiftie behind 'Bejeweled' TikTok trend gets to hold Taylor Swift's hand, own the '22' hat

What a lucky Taylor Swift fan!

A Pinoy Swiftie did not just get noticed by his idol—he also received a cap from her.

Mikael Arellano, a Filipino fan based in the United States just had a full-circle moment last weekend, when he attended one of Taylor Swift's Eras shows in Philadelphia.

Getting a free VIP ticket alone for the Eras tour can make every Swiftie’s year, but Mikael got more than that. In February, Mikael shared that Taylor Nation contacted him, asking permission to use parts of his Bejeweled choreography in the Eras tour, and in exchange, he will be given two free tickets for a show of his choice.

Mikael attended the Philadelphia show on May 13, and one of the highlights of the night is when Taylor noticed Mikael in the crowd and gave him a core memory.

While performing the song 22, Taylor approached Mikael in the crowd. He shared the priceless moment on his TikTok and Instagram. “Taylor gave me the hat and held my hand,” he wrote. “Best night of my life.”

In a separate post, Mikael shared the moment from a different angle. “Taylor did the Bejeweled dance for me, gave me the 22 hat, and then held my hand,” he wrote. “I love you Taylor.”

Mikael went viral in October 2022 for his simple yet fitting choreography of Bejeweled, which has garnered 6.4 million views as of this writing. It has been also recreated by Taylor herself in the opening show of her Eras tour last March in Glendale, Arizona.

Of course, he recreated it once again during the tour.

@mikaelarellano it was a magical night ❤️ ✨💅🏼 #taylorswift #swiftie #swifttok #tstheerastour #phillytstheerastour ♬ original sound - Mikael Arellano

He came back to the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia to attend the last show on May 14.

After her three-night show in Philadelphia, Taylor Swift is set to conquer the stage in Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts. The tour will end on August 9 after her last show in Los Angeles, California.

Aside from the tour, Taylor will release Speak Now (Taylor’s version) album on July 7.
