After 18 years of being together, Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero are finally married
Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero have finally tied the knot after 18 years of being together.
The celebrity couple made their vows in an intimate civil wedding ceremony presided by Mandaluyong Mayor Carmelita Abalos on Thursday, June 9. They later celebrated their milestone at the Manila House Private Club in Taguig City with their family and friends.
The now Mr. and Mrs. Montero initially announced the news by reposting the Instagram stories shared by their friends and family on their own accounts.
Among their guests was ABS-CBN entertainment reported Gretchen Fullido, who also uploaded a video of the couple's wedding and festive reception.
Troy's brother KC, meanwhile, shared a goofy video of the couple where he used the "Shook" filter to show how much happy the couple is while slicing their wedding cake.
Aubrey also updated her followers about their wedding, with an Instagram post shared on her account the following day.
"It’s Official [praying hands emoji]. After 18years together, it only takes 30mins to sealed it. We did it @troymontero," the actress wrote in the caption.
In a previous interview with PhilSTAR L!fe, Aubrey revealed that Troy has asked for her hand in marriage a few times in the past, albeit without an engagement ring.
In fact, they planned on getting married in April 2020 — with the date, venue, and attendees worked out already — but had to cancel it because of the pandemic.
Despite not being married yet for almost two decades of being together, Aubrey and Troy were able to raise a happy family with their kids Cody, 14, and Rocket, 3, as well as Aubrey's 22-year-old son Maurice.
Two years later, on March 22, 2022, Troy popped the big question once again, and this time, complete with an engagement ring. For Aubrey, the timing was just right.
“I don’t know what it was, but being engaged and having a ring on my finger felt so exciting. It was just the perfect timing. I really believe everything has the right timing,” she told PhilSTAR L!fe.
