DonBelle to FranSeth: Couples and love teams who attended the Star Magical Prom 2023
ABS-CBN's first-ever Star Magical Prom has finally arrived, with today's most popular young love teams gracing the night filled with magic and glamour.
Coming just months after the Star Magical Christmas event last November, this new tradition of the company was made in order for them to celebrate the coming-of-age of their many young stars and rising talents.
The event shaped up to be one memorable night as Kapamilya stars brought their dates with them in swoon-worthy fashion in the Bridgerton-styled ballroom. Here are the couples and love teams who made their fans exhale a dreamy sigh:
Andrea Brillantes and Ricci Rivero
It's no surprise that Andrea Brillantes went with her boyfriend Ricci Rivero to the Star Magical Prom, especially since they made rounds online when the actress did a "promposal" at no less than at BLACKPINK's recently concluded Born Pink concert.
During the event, members Rosé and Lisa took the time to read Andrea's sign asking Ricci if she would go as her date to the prom, to which he said a resounding "yes."
For the prom, the two captured the radiance of a real-life prince and princess, with Andrea donning a glamorous bejeweled dress while Ricci wore a striking ensemble that elevates his stunning looks.
Recounting Andrea's BLACKPINK promposal, the actress shared that she had already been planning that surprise for a long time now. "One week akong hindi makatulog nang maayos kakaisip kung magiging palpak ba ito, mapapansin kaya ng BLACKPINK, makikita kaya nila, and talagang sinugal ko lang," the actress said.
"Hindi rin alam ni Ricci 'yung nangyayari that night kasi super busy siya na binubuhat ako. Narealize niya lang na kinakausap siya nung sinabi na ni Rosé 'yung Ricci Rivero," she added.
Because of this, they managed to bag the event's Best Promposal and Most Creative Promposal awards.
Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin
One of ABS-CBN's hottest love teams, Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin are a match made in heaven at the extravagant prom. Diaz was glowing in her flowing yellow gown with feathers on her sleeves while Fedelin is a dashing prince in his all-white attire.
Talking about Fedelin's promposal, which he carried out with flowers and fireworks in Dasmarinas, Cavite, the actor joked that the original question he wanted to ask his date was, "Will you marry me?" instead of "Will you be my prom date?"
Diaz was meanwhile impressed by her date's efforts, "Speechless ako sa effort niya, and nakakatuwa kasi alam ko po na noong gabi 'yun, ramdam ko po 'yung kaba niya, 'yung pawis niya ang lamig na, pero successful naman."
This charming gesture earned them the award for Most Viewed Promposal, Most Kilig Promposal, and Best Promposal 1st Runner-up.
Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan
Another love team that continue to bring kilig with their chemistry, Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan looked classy and graceful in their complementing outfits of black and white.
For their first-ever Star Magical Prom, Belle said, "No one asked me out to prom ever, so Donny is the first one who took me to prom. It's my first time experiencing that and I'm so grateful. I'm so happy that I get to experience this thing with him."
When asked about their promposal, Donny said that it was more "personal" and "meaningful" between the two of them.
At the end of the night, they were crowned with the highly coveted Prom King and Prom Queen titles.
Vivoree Esclito and Brent Manalo
Singer and actress Vivoree Esclito and actor Brent Manalo are also a perfect combination as each other's dates. For the special night, Vivoree dazzled like a diamond in her dress adorned with sparkling gems and ethereal flowers, having taken inspiration from a lush garden while Brent wore a classy black and white outfit.
Talking about their promposal where Brent popped the question to Vivoree after she promoted and performed her single Matapang at a mall show, the actress revealed that she had already received clues about Brent's surprise, but she still did not expect him to go for it.
"Hindi naman talaga ako nag-eexpect, so surprised talaga ako and genuine talaga 'yung reaction ko doon," she said.
The pair eventually took home the Senior Prince and Princess titles.
