Just when you thought *NSYNC said "Bye Bye Bye" to their fans forever, the hit '90s boy band is back for a new track, titled Better Place, after 20 years.

This groovy song with boppy beats was released on Sept. 29 on YouTube and music streaming apps, as part of the soundtrack of Dreamworks Animation's upcoming movie Trolls Band Together where NSYNC star Justin Timberlake voices the lead character Branch.

The music artist-actor announced that the new track is out now with a goofy behind-the-scenes clip of their video announcement. "BETTER PLACE IS OUT! WE HOPE YOU LIKE IT," he captioned his post.

Further hyping up their much-awaited reunion, *NSYNC also shared several behind-the-scenes clips of their photo shoot on Instagram and TikTok. "We haven't done this in a while [face with tears emoji]," the group wrote in one of their posts.

Rumors about *NSYNC's reunion single first circulated online when a source told Entertainment Tonight that the members JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick are set to play "surprising roles" in Trolls Band Together alongside Timberlake.

Adding fuel to the rumors was *NSYNC's surprise reunion at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) last Sept. 12, where they presented the award for Best Pop. It was their group's first on-stage appearance since performing at the VMAs way back 2013.

Better Place, meanwhile, comes 21 years after Timberlake announced his departure from the group in 2002 following the group's release of their last album, Celebrity, in 2001. Bass confirmed that the group had already broken up five years later, in 2007.

Trolls Band Together follows the harrowing journey of its two central trolls, Branch and Poppy (voiced by Anne Kendrick), after Poppy finds out that Branch and his brothers (voiced by Troye Sivan, Kid Cudi, Daveed Diggs, and Eric André) were once a hit boy band called “BroZone.”

When Floyd, one of Branch's siblings, gets kidnapped, the new couple embarks on a journey to reunite the brothers and rescue Floyd.

The film is set to hit theaters worldwide on Nov. 17. Listen to *NSYNC's Better Place below.
