Xian Lim thanks Kim Chiu for the 12 years they spent ‘loving each other’ after split

Xian Lim penned a heartfelt letter for Kim Chiu, thanking her for their love-filled relationship that lasted for over a decade.

“Dearest Kim, thank you for the long years we have spent loving each other,” he wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday, Dec. 23, describing the last 12 years of his life with her as the “best gift [he] could ever ask for.”

“We have expressed our love for each other to the fullest and knowing that I got to share those [moments] with you, knowing our hearts beat as one at one point in our lives is truly something I will cherish for life,” he wrote.

“Like all good things, it must eventually come to an end,” he continued.

Xian thanked Kim for the memories they shared and the unconditional love he gave him in the course of their romance. “My respect and admiration for you as a person, as an artist, and as someone I spent more than a decade with will always remain,” he added.

He also expressed his hope that Kim finds “all the happiness and love [she] is searching for,” noting that she deserves “nothing but the best.”

“No goodbyes here. See you around, petunia,” he concluded.

Kim confirmed her breakup with Xian in a lengthy Instagram post earlier in the day. The actress said the split was a mutual decision, adding that they hope to transition their relationship into a "lifelong" friendship.

Rumors that she and Xian have called it quits started when social media users noticed that she went on a solo trip in October.

Kim and Xian, known as KimXi, began dating in 2012. It wasn't until 2018, however, that they made their relationship public.
