Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez file for divorce, decision 'amicable'—report
Pop star Ariana Grande and real estate broker Dalton Gomez are officially divorcing after their reported split last July.
PEOPLE Magazine reported that Grande, 30, made the filing on Sept. 18, with Gomez, 28, filing a response immediately after.
The divorce filing happened only two months later as they were "taking their time together to slowly work through the details of the agreement privately," according to PEOPLE, citing an anonymous source.
"They’ve been really caring and respectful of one another through every step of this process," the source is quoted as saying.
The source described Grande and Gomez as "kind and patient," and have "moved on."
The source added the decision was amicable, as the marriage "didn't work" once Grande started filming the 2024 fantasy musical Wicked in London.
“Ari has nothing but kind words to say about Dalton. During their marriage, he was her No. 1 fan," the source said.
Grande and Gomez got married in a private ceremony at her Montecito home in California last May 2021.
They started dating early in 2020, though only confirmed their romance after Gomez appeared in the music video of Grande and Justin Bieber's song Stuck With U the following May.
Grande was previously engaged to comedian Pete Davidson in 2018, but it was called off five months after.
