Vina Morales still hopeful about finding ‘the right one’ at 47: ‘That’s what I’ve been praying for’
Vina Morales remains hopeful about getting married to “the right one” as she nears her 50s.
The local actress shared her thoughts on love and marriage in a recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. “Vina, ito, matapang na tanong: Ngayon ba sa buhay mo, naniniwala ka pa ba sa kasal?” the “King of Talk” asked.
“Wow, what a question. Dadating ba ako diyan? [‘Yan] ang tanong,” she said with a laugh.
Getting more serious about the matter, Vina revealed that it’s been part of her bucket list. “That’s what I’ve been praying for—that’s in my prayer. At kung mangyari ‘yun, ‘yung bucket list, another check sa love life naman!”
She, however, noted that she believes that the right person will come “in God’s perfect time.”
“I always believe na, you know, there’s someone out there for me, the right one. Ayoko nang ipilit.”
“I still believe in marriage. For me, that’s God’s blessing,” she continued.
The 47-year-old star was previously in a two-year relationship with French entrepreneur Marc Lambert. They broke up in 2017.
She shares a child named Ceana with her ex-partner Cedric Lee.
Vina is set to replace Lea Salonga as Aurora Aquino, the mother of assassinated opposition senator Ninoy Aquino, in Here Lies Love for a limited time. The musical narrates the former First Lady Imelda Marcos' rise and fall from power after the EDSA People Power Revolution by transforming the theater "into a dance club where the audience is immersed in the story." It’s directed by Tony and Golden Globe awards recipient Alex Timbers.
