'Just got enGAYged!': Ben&Ben’s Agnes Reoma, Pat Lasaten are getting married

Published Jan 01, 2023 1:46 pm

Ben&Ben's bassist Agnes Reoma and keyboardist Pat Lasaten are both set to become missus, as the couple just announced that they are engaged.

The musicians got engaged in July 2022 and finally got the word out through an Instagram post on Dec. 31.

"A lot of surprises and blessings happened this 2022 but this is my favorite. Love you forever, Patfly," Agnes wrote in the caption. "Patnes nyo engaged na 🏳️‍🌈"

It came along with a video of Pat popping the big question to Agnes inside a car. It began with Pat saying, "So ito na yung exciting part," before opening the box containing Agnes' engagement ring.

"Ano bey?" Agnes replied with a quavering voice. Then she said, "Of course, I'd say yes to you."

Agnes and Pat's love story dates back to 2014 when they were still in college.

In a vlog published on their YouTube channel in 2014, the musicians revealed that although Agnes was taking up music production and Pat was studying music composition, their paths crossed through a common friend.

They became a couple in the same year, with Pat marking their seventh anniversary last June with an Instagram post that says, "7 years na kitang pinapanindigan. Kahit sa pagtanda, ako’y sayo."

Before that, the keyboardist revealed in another Instagram post the secret to their long-running relationship: trust and authenticity.

Pat talked about this after a cozy dinner date with Agnes last April. She captioned her post, "Kaka-miss yung ganitong feeling ng genuine companionship, yung sobrang comfortable na kayo sa isa’t isa na okay lang kahit di kayo naguusap. Comfy pa rin."

"I guess that’s what happens when you build a relationship based primarily on trust and authenticity," Pat added.

Congratulations to the engaged couple!
