On its social media pages, the local organizer announced Kang, the former center of the now-disbanded boy band Wanna One, as the first artist in the lineup for the highly anticipated Manila leg of Waterbomb Festival 2025

"Get Loose and enjoy the Waterbomb Parade with Kang Daniel and FLOWDs!" the caption read.

He is scheduled to perform on February 23.

Meanwhile, the organizers also teased some "Korean hip-hop legends"  who will also be part of this year's lineup.

"Do you know who they are? Shh! Chulseok check! If you're a hip-hop fan, don't miss it. Keep an eye out for ticketing details that are dropping soon!" the teaser said.

Waterbomb Festival is a summer festival that features performances from K-pop artists and fun water activities such as water gun battles and surprise water cannons.

They first teased their Manila edition in July with a poster that said, “Hello Manila. Coming soon.”

The Philippine leg will take place on Feb. 22 and 23, 2025 at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

The Waterbomb world tour includes stops in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates.

This year’s festival in Seoul saw a star-studded lineup featuring K-pop stars like Jay Park, Hwasa, Loco, TWICE’s Nayeon, Kwon Eun Bi, Baekho, Jessi, and K-pop groups WayV, Kiss of Life, and more.
