K-pop’s 'It' couple Hyuna and Dawn are engaged after six years of dating
It looks like wedding bells are on the way for K-pop’s "It" couple Hyuna and Dawn!
On Thursday, Feb. 3, Dawn took to Instagram to share a video clip and photo of matching gold engagement rings with the caption, “Marry me.” Hyuna then reposted Dawn’s update saying, “Of course, it’s a yes!” in Korean.
Even if there aren’t many details about Hyuna and Dawn’s rings, it looks like the couple swapped out the traditional diamond for moonstones and gemstones. The matching rings are placed in shell-shaped boxes in shades of blue and pink.
“Thank you, thank you so much, thank you,” Hyuna gushed about her engagement in a separate post.
The couple started dating in 2016, but only made their relationship public in 2018.
Hyuna was previously part of the K-pop girl groups Wonder Girls and 4Minute while Dawn was a member of the boy group Pentagon. They were previously signed with Cube Entertainment until they left the agency and signed with P NATION in 2019.
Prior to departing Cube, they were part of the unit TRIPLE H with Pentagon’s Hui.
Since then, Hyuna and Dawn have been gaining recognition as soloists and as a unit. They released their first duo EP 1+1=1 with the title track Ping Pong.
