Are Joshua Garcia’s used utensils for sale? Eatery owner spills the tea
Actor Joshua Garcia captures the hearts of many, not just for his acting but also for the littlest cutesy things that he does, like lip syncing, dancing or playing the guitar on TikTok—they definitely go viral. So, it was no surprise that when an eatery in Bulacan posted a photo of the utensils that Garcia used when he once dined there, some of the actor’s fans wanted to get their hands on those “prized” plate and cubiertos.
On its Facebook page, Antonio Junior Lugaw-Pares Eatery posted a series of photos of Garcia together with actor Jeffrey Santos in police uniform while eating after they filmed a scene for the much-anticipated ABS-CBN TV series Darna.
“Joshua Garcia and Jeffrey Santos, kahit sila nasarapan sa AJ Bagnet plain rice. At ang kutsara na nagamit ni Josh, naitabi na po namin,” the Facebook post read.
In the comments section, owner Antonio Reyes Jr. also posted a photo of the actor’s used plates and utensils. “Binibenta po namin ang pinag-kainan niya,” he said in jest.
Some of the eatery’s customers responded, “hm po?” asking how much are the utensils being sold. Another one joked, “Mine ko na to 100k. Hahaha. Charot.”
In a separate post, Reyes said, “Ok na po, naka-bidding na po ang kutsara at pinggan niya (Garcia).”
The witty exchanges between the owner and customers reached the actor himself, to which he simply tweeted with a video from News5, “Krazy” with a flushed face emoji.

Speaking with PhilSTAR L!fe, Reyes said he and his staff did not expect the attention that they are getting from their post. Reyes was aware, though, that just by having Garcia in his eatery would help bring in business.
And he was right.
Though the eatery, which serves lugaw, pares and “silogs,” already has returning customers, Reyes said they doubled in number and most of them, some of whom came all the way from Makati City, almost always ask about Garcia’s plate and utensils.
According to the owner, there were some fans who even offered to be “servers” for a day in the eatery when Garcia returns just to be up close with the actor. But all of these are just for fun, according to Reyes.
“Wala pong seryoso na bumibili (ng utensils), katuwaan lang po,” he said.
All jokes aside, Reyes is grateful for Garcia because the actor’s mere presence has widened the exposure of his eatery, which has several branches, including the main branch in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, Cavite, Pampanga, and Rizal.
As a gesture of gratitude, Reyes said if Garcia will have a chance to return to the eatery, he can order everything he wants and those will be free of charge. What Garcia ate during his visit to the eatery was the bestseller called “Bagnet Plain with Egg,” which costs P109.
So whatever happened to the utensils that the actor used? We are sorry to burst the bubble of those who are actually serious in buying the “preserved” cubiertos used by Garcia but Reyes told PhilSTAR L!fe that the plate and utensils the actor used have already been washed by his hardworking staff. Those are now being used in the day-to-day operations of the eatery.
Reyes also wants to let you in on a secret: one of his staff members got first dibs on the remaining food on Garcia’s plate shown in the photo. What happened to it? You just have to drop by Antonio Junior’s eatery in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan to find out.
